Photonics: Wave propagation in nonlinear optical media, Nonlinear polarization, Second harmonic generation, Sum frequency generation, Optical parametric generation, Manley- Rowe equations, Third harmonic generation, Fourier optics, one-, two-, and three- dimensional photonic crystals; planar dielectric waveguides, Photonic crystal waveguides, Fiber optics, Photonic-crystal fiber, Photodetectors, Charge-coupled device (CCD) detectors, Intensified charge-coupled device (ICCD), Gated ICCD, Liquid crystal displays.
