Bio
Dr. Nazma Zaman was born at Comilla, Bangladesh in January, 1946. She obtained her B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. in Physics in 1966 and 1967 respectively from the Department of Physics, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Ph.D. degree from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology(UMIST), UK in 1975 in Physics in the field of Crystallography. She was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Physics, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka in August 1976. She became Assistant Professor in December 1976, Associate Professor in 1986 and Professor in 2001. She has supervised so far 2 M. Phil. students. Her present research interest is Solid State Physics.
